Ford Squelches Seattle Offense
The St. Louis Gaedels knocked off the Seattle Arrows, 1-0, in Eastern Conference action at Veeck Park. St. Louis pitcher and Wichita, Kansas, native Ben Ford had an outstanding performance. Dave Valenzuela, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. The last-place Gaedels have a record of 16-32.

Ford allowed no runs over 7 innings. He also racked up 9 strikeouts.
