Havana defeated Montreal, 6-3, in large part due to 24-year old left fielder Alex Zendejas. Zendejas drove in 3 runs. The first baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Metropolitanos. Joyee Cameron got the win, improving to 4-3. He held the Harfangs to 3 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Havana currently is in last place in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division at 19-29.
Zendejas had a key at-bat for Havana in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Havana an early 2-0 lead.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Havana manager Kevin Mayerhofer.
