Arrows Score Late, Stun Aces, 4-1
|
Seattle pitcher Huggy Bruce had a large part in his team subduing the Las Vegas Aces, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The second-place Arrows lifted their record to 27-21.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Ryan Jarnagin came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Las Vegas pitcher Tae-sang Shinn, he hit a 2-1 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Seattle on top, 2-1.
Said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian: "We weren't able to do much."
