Twins Earn Clutch Win, 5-4
|
The Cincinnati Twins had to overcome a big game from Tucson catcher Joe Adams to leave Cincinnati Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Adams was 2-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Cincinnati, at 16-31, holds down last place in the Eastern Conference Kamuzu Division.
Geoff Tankersley was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Tankersley said.
