Buffalo turned a fine outing from starter Jose Nereida into a victory over the Santiago Avispas at Bison Stadium. The final score was 2-1 in 10 innings. Earl Tessier, now 3-2, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. The Rangers saw their record improve to 29-18.

The decisive blow was delivered by Merlin Garbie in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Seung Moon to win the game for Buffalo. The home crowd went nuts.
