The Vancouver Wolves used the hitting of third baseman Ken Draves to subdue the Tucson Toros, 9-5. For the game, Draves was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Juan Pinon picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 5 in 7.1 innings. By defeating Tucson, the 4th-place Wolves improved to 24-23.

With Vancouver leading 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Draves hit a fastball from Taxi Sabala for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 4-0.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Draves.
