Ravens Stick Aquas with 3-2 Loss
|
The Yellowknife Ravens defeated the Houston Aquas, 3-2, in Western Conference action at Ragged Ass Road. Yellowknife pitcher Taisei Yamamoto had a standout performance. J.D. Haynes earned save number 1 this season. The first-place Ravens have a one-game lead in their division.
O-jun Joh went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Yellowknife. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Joh had a clutch at-bat. Facing Houston hurler Chris Bender, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Ravens a 3-2 lead.
"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Yellowknife manager Alex King.
