Juggernauts Win Squeaker, 7-6, Over Harfangs
|
Matt Steinruck had a good game, but he could not keep the Montreal Harfangs from falling, 7-6, to the Toronto Juggernauts at Molson Park. The Montreal designated hitter was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 in the loss. The winner was Toronto reliever Fabian Estrada, now 3-1. The loser was Jaime Cucci. Ignacio Noriega earned the save, his 15th.
Pusan, South Korea-born Jae-hong You came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Juggernauts trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Toronto on top.
"It wasn't our best performance," said You, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
The Juggernauts saw their record improve to 25-21.
