Starting pitcher Danny Serrano pitched well enough to help the Los Angeles Stars beat the St. Louis Gaedels, 10-7. Picking up the win was Roberto Davila. He went 5 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 1. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Yue-jiu Pai.

Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of Ricky Rangel to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Stars the lead, 9-5. For the game, Rangel had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Serrano.
