In a high-scoring contest between Miami and Boston, first baseman Karl Cooper was a difference-maker. Cooper, who finished 2nd in the EC in RBI with 126 in 2080, distinguished himself in the 13-9 Miami win. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The win puts Miami at 3-2.

Todd Kozuch helped out the Miami cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the right fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Kozuch said. "We did a good job of that today."
