The Denver Glaciers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Luis Muratalla into a win. Instead, the Las Vegas Aces prevailed, 5-2. Muratalla threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win was credited to 28-year old right-handed pitcher Tae-sang Shinn in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Jeremy Lanham took the loss. Cruz Ponce notched his 14th save of the season.

Chris Zamarron came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Said losing manager Todd Bleess: "We just didn't get it done tonight."

Las Vegas is now 25-21, Denver 16-30.
