Aquas Rally to Win, 6-5
|
Houston beat Kansas City at Tesoro Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win in 12 innings. The win in large part was due to first baseman Frank Lung. He was 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. By defeating Kansas City, the first-place Aquas improved to 26-20.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Lung hit a fastball from Roberto Patino for a run-scoring single. The Aquas, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"The crowd was raucous," said Lung.
