Maine right-hander John Liberty pitched his team to victory over the Miami Cyclones at Ballpark of Portland. The final score was 7-2. Liberty, now 4-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. At 22-23, the Lobster claim third place in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division.
Maddox Lannigan had a big 2-run home run for the Lobster in the bottom of the first inning. With Maine trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Billy Lorsung, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2078 draft, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Lobster on top, 2-1.
"John just settled in and did what he does," said Maine manager Matthew McExpos.
