Destroyers Solve Kings, 3-2
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the San Diego Destroyers got the win.
The San Diego Destroyers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Baltimore Kings at AT&T Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Tony Anaya. He was terrific. Anaya got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
Edward Black, who finished 4th in the EC in triples with 7 in 2080, had a direct impact on the outcome. Black contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put San Diego up, 3-2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter. "The effort was great."
The loss makes Baltimore 30-14.
