San Francisco Dispatched, 6-2, by Seattle
|
Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Danny Nieto the Seattle Arrows defeated the San Francisco Friars, 6-2. Seattle, at 25-20, occupies third place in the Western Conference John Sexton Division.
Nieto contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Nieto took a fastball from Filiberto Ciriaco and stroked the home run to right-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Arrows to leap in front, 4-1.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Nieto.
