Greens Lose to Metropolitanos in Walk-Off
|
Led by Heriberto Lopez, the Havana Metropolitanos downed the Boston Greens, 4-3. Lopez went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Metropolitanos. Havana sits in last place in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division at 17-28.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Havana trailing 3-2, Lopez jumped on a cutter from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Al Nieves and hit a 2-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Metropolitanos had a walk-off win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Lopez.
