The Yellowknife Ravens handed the Las Vegas Aces a 6-3 defeat at Ragged Ass Road. Second Baseman Chris Kouri starred for Yellowknife. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Will Spangenberg went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right-hander, who finished 5th in the WC in wins with 16 last year, struck out 3 and walked 1. With the win, he's now 2-6 this season. So far in 2086, Yellowknife is 24-20.
Eliecer Arruebarrena had a big bases-clearing double for the Ravens in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Yellowknife leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Yolber Ajete, who is tied for 7th in the WC in wins with 4, and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ravens ahead, 4-0.
"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Kouri.
