The Tucson Toros earned a win at The ESPN Zone, knocking off the Washington Senators, 12-4. On the bump for Tucson was right-hander Ryan Lloyd. He had a starring role in the triumph. The winner was Lloyd. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Josh Breaux. Tucson bumps their record to 18-25 with the win.

Tucson won the game in part because of Jose Pedroza. The designated hitter ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Toros ahead, 9-0. For the game, Pedroza had 1 double and 1 home run in 6 at-bats.

"Ryan gave us a heck of an effort," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
