The Maine Lobster had to overcome a fine effort from Santiago pitcher Julius Miller to win, 3-2, in 11 innings at Ballpark of Portland. Miller went 8.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Masato Nishihara was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Vaisel Ajete. Maine, now 20-22, holds down third place in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division.

The Lobster got a clutch hit from left fielder Xian-gan Sima. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lobster.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Sima said.
