Arakawa Leads Charge, Minneapolis Blasts Friars
|
The Minneapolis Vikings firmly defeated the San Francisco Friars, 16-3, at Staples Field. The Minneapolis offense was lit. Gentaro Arakawa, for one, had a solid game. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times for the Vikings. The win puts the Vikings at 28-15, while the Friars drop to 17-26.
Minneapolis needed the clutch hitting of Dante Cuadra to notch the win. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Vikings on top, 7-3. For the game, Cuadra had 1 home run and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Arakawa.
