Phantoms Run Win Streak to 6
|
Boston first baseman Trevor Short had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-3, to Chicago at Foster Field. Short was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. Lan-fang Lai, 3-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Dave Gaytan was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from first baseman Jose Buezo. For the game, Buezo went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Chicago a 6-3 lead.
"I feel like we're rolling now," Buezo told the Chicago Daily."The dugout is coming alive."
The Greens, now 20-20, have lost 4 straight.
