|
The Brooklyn Browns picked up a win at Brown Town, topping the Washington Senators, 4-1. On the mound for Brooklyn was left-hander Jose Cruz. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Cruz. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Kai-xi Jia. The slumping Senators have dropped 7 in a row.
Victor Yero hit a 2-run triple off Kai-xi Jia in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Browns in front, 3-1. Yero had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
