Thunderbirds Defeat Aquas in 14
The Phoenix Thunderbirds needed 14 innings to defeat the Houston Aquas, 8-7, at Tesoro Stadium. Phoenix first baseman Rickey Pfau had a superb performance. He went 2 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Danny Reyes notched his 5th save of the season. The 'W' lifts Phoenix's record to 22-18.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Billy Morf? The Phoenix left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Thunderbirds on top, 8-7. For the game, Morf had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Pfau.
