Wolves Grind Out 2-0 Win
|
The Vancouver Wolves downed the Santiago Avispas, 2-0, at Fox-Chong Park. Vancouver pitcher Li-hong Ho definitely brought his A-game. The setback makes Santiago 26-13.
Vancouver right fielder Yuan Zhu contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 45th hit of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 1-0.
"The old adage is true," said Zhu. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
