Kym Lifts Senators to 7-4 Win
|
Sung-hyo Kym impressed in the 7-4 Washington win over Buffalo. Kym, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2078 draft, was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Miguel Fajardo, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits, while fanning 9 and walking 2. Picking up the save was two-time All-Star Ocean Mendoza.
With Washington leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Kym hit a knuckleball from Jimmy Oyola for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Senators ahead, 4-0.
"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Kym told a local reporter after the game.
Today's win puts Washington at 19-22, while Buffalo falls to 24-15.
