Julian Paul did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Los Angeles Stars from being beaten, 10-7, to the Minneapolis Vikings at Stars Ballpark. Paul went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Zee-loo Kim wrapped it up, recording his 28th save. At 87-62, the Vikings have a slim two-game lead in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division.

Minneapolis won the game in part because of Omar Ozoa. The shortstop ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Vikings ahead, 5-4. For the game, Ozoa had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Vikings manager Ace Cooan. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
