Seung Moon imposed his will on the Kodiaks from the get-go. Relying mainly on his curveball, the right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 Santiago triumph. The Avispas now have a record of 24-15.
Santiago used a clutch at-bat from Jonathan Villegas to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Avispas ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Santiago manager Jacob Pauly commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
