The Spectres earned a hard-fought, 4-2 win in 13 innings at Sony Field at Philadelphia. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Havana pitcher Joyee Cameron. Cameron went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Philadelphia is now 64-85, Havana 71-77.

Philadelphia got a clutch hit from Dave Palacios. The left fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

In comments to the Philadelphia Chronicle, Palacios admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
