Denver 7-1 Victors at Tundradome

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Denver Glaciers and Alaska Kodiaks.
Alaska had no answer for 27-year old right-handed pitcher Edwin Munoz. The Denver Glaciers starter stymied Kodiaks hitters, helping the Glaciers cruise to victory, 7-1. Munoz got the win, improving to 7-10. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Chris Eighmy came through for Denver when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the first. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.
"I'm happy we won," said Munoz. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
Denver, at 67-80, sits in 4th place in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division.
