Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Seattle Arrows and the San Diego Destroyers. Seattle won it, 2-0. Seattle starter Hsui-chen Yang was in command. John Colon notched his 3rd save in 4 chances. Seattle, with the win, climbs to 51-96.
Seattle took a 2-0 lead on Yoshitsugu Ishida's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Ishida hit in the top of the ninth, left San Diego pitcher Cruz Ponce visibly frustrated.
"Hsui-chen gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Seattle skipper Dr. Jay Siber.
