Twins Reel Off Another Win
|
The Cincinnati Twins topped the Baltimore Kings, 7-5, in Eastern Conference action at Cincinnati Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cincinnati pitcher Tony Hernandez. Cincinnati reliever Macario Mendoza picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Jeremy Lanham was saddled with the loss. Edwin Vazquez earned the save, his 6th.
In the bottom of the seventh, Cincinnati designated hitter Salomão Capucho had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Capucho stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 7-5, Cincinnati. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times.
"Good, blue-collar kind of win," said Twins manager Ryan Stoops.
