|
Josh Hebrank, who is a two-time All-Star, never let the Gaedels get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his screwball, to pitch the Harfangs to a win, 3-1. Ron Trevathan earned the save, his 6th. The Gaedels have now dropped 5 straight.
The Harfangs got a big at-bat from center fielder Du Kau. For the game, Kau went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 39th double of the season gave Montreal a 2-1 lead.
"I still think this team can play even better," Kau told the Montreal Today.
