Dominant Performance by Tanton in Buffalo Win
|
The Buffalo Rangers got a stellar performance from pitcher Gerald Tanton, who handcuffed the Maine offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Ballpark of Portland. With the win, the Rangers improved to 84-63.
It was a masterful performance from the popular Tanton, who notched 8 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 5 hits. Tanton, who finished 2nd in the WC in ERA with 3.02 in 2083, goes to 8-4 on the year with 114 strikeouts.
"Gerald did a heck of a job," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
