The Portland Dragons defeated the Miami Cyclones, 9-4. Right Fielder Hideji Yamanaka deserved a large share of the credit. Yamanaka went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Dragons. Portland starter Omar Mendez was credited with the win after throwing 91 pitches over 6.1 innings.
