The Denver Glaciers faced a tough opponent in Alaska pitcher Mike Blain, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Tundradome by a final score of 4-3 in 16 innings. Blain went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. She Wang claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-1. The Glaciers move to 66-79 with the win, while the Kodiaks drop to 91-54.

Denver used the timely hitting of Ramon Chirino to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 16th inning to put the Glaciers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Said Chirino: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
