Twins Come Back Late, Nip Kings
Baltimore wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Motoaki Tajiri, falling to the Cincinnati Twins, 5-4. Tajiri threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win belonged to Atsuya Ishii in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Arturo Panameno took the loss for Baltimore. Cincinnati has now won 4 games in a row.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 25-year old designated hitter Salomão Capucho had a real shot to win the game. Baltimore pitcher Arturo Panameno was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Capucho hit a run-scoring single. The Twins had a walk-off triumph.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Capucho said.
