Browns Score 3-1 Win Over Boston
|
The Brooklyn Browns had to overcome a fine effort from Boston pitcher Javy Alejo to win, 3-1, at Arrington Park. Alejo went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Cris Ramos earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. Picking up his 1st save was former first round draft pick Olympio Odescalchi.
Brooklyn needed the clutch hitting of Raymilson Bayam to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Browns on top, 2-0. For the game, Bayam had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Bayam.
The Browns, at 69-75, have now won 4 straight.
