A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Maine Lobster and Buffalo Rangers.

The Maine Lobster handed the Buffalo Rangers a 6-3 defeat at Ballpark of Portland. Second Baseman Ruben Vega starred for Maine. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Eikki Hostikka, who is tied for 6th in the EC with a 9.4 K/9 rate, was the winner. He's now 12-10. The loser was Jose Ruiz. Adam Mimnaugh got the save, his 12th in 13 chances.

Maine took a 6-3 lead on Vega's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Jose Ruiz in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Maine to the win.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Buffalo skipper Alex Beckman.

The Lobster now own a record of 69-75.
