Bosques Homers Twice in 4-2 Win
|
The Vancouver Wolves beat the Minneapolis Vikings, 4-2, at Fox-Chong Park. Vancouver designated hitter Tony Bosques had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jeong Lee picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-4. He struck out 7 in 7.1 innings. Joe Drum closed out the game, earning his 15th save.
Vancouver took a 4-0 lead on Bosques's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Erik Garcia in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Vancouver to the win.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Bosques told the Vancouver Today.
With the win, the Wolves improved to 72-71.
