Toronto got a terrific performance from pitcher Antonio Avellaneda, but it wasn't enough to beat the Maine Lobster. Maine won the Molson Park contest, 3-2. Avellaneda threw 7.1 innings allowing 1 run for the losing team. Maine reliever Armando Montoya picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Ignacio Noriega absorbed the loss. Maine's record now stands at 68-75, placing them 4th in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.

Bert James had a direct impact on the outcome. James contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Maine up, 3-2.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Maine skipper Matthew McExpos. "I can't complain."
