Glaciers Claim Late Win
|
The Denver Glaciers picked up a win at Stars Ballpark, taking down the Los Angeles Stars, 4-2. Starting pitcher Tetsukazu Kaneda was a big reason why. Adam Mimnaugh closed the game out for Denver, earning his 10th save. The win boosted Denver to 22-17.
Alex Guilzar came through with a big-time hit for Denver. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Tetsukazu made some big pitches when he needed to," said Glaciers manager Todd Bleess.
