Starting pitcher Yahya Kanoro pitched well enough to help the Portland Dragons beat the Alaska Kodiaks, 7-4. Ryan Mena earned the save, his 10th. Portland is now 83-60.

Portland first baseman Jordan Flores contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 156th hit of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 4-2.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Kanoro.
