Glaciers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Destroyers
The Denver Glaciers and San Diego Destroyers obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The timely hitting of Alex Guilzar helped the Denver Glaciers take down the San Diego Destroyers, 9-8, in 12 innings. Guilzar was 3-6 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Glaciers. Denver reliever Jorge Diaz picked up the win to move to 6-3. Kurt Bozek suffered the loss.

The Glaciers got a clutch hit from left fielder Michinori Nobayashi. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Glaciers.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Nobayashi said.

The Glaciers, now 64-79, have won 4 in a row.
