The Phoenix Thunderbirds picked up a win at Stars Ballpark, knocking off the Los Angeles Stars, 6-4. Starting pitcher Aaron Kopta was a big reason why. David Klontz closed it out for Phoenix, earning his 5th save. The third-place Thunderbirds improved to 72-70.

Phoenix relied on the bat of Olly Roozeboom to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-2. For the game, Roozeboom had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Roozeboom.
