The Toronto Juggernauts downed the St. Louis Gaedels, 1-0, at Veeck Park. Toronto pitcher Luis Basurto had a scintillating performance. Ignacio Noriega sewed up the save, his 6th. The Juggernauts, now 17-21, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Basurto made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The Toronto right-hander encountered little resistance from the St. Louis hitters. His season record is now 3-3.
