Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Staples Field.

The San Francisco Friars faced a tenacious opponent in Minneapolis pitcher Fidel Flores, but still scratched out a win at Staples Field by a final score of 7-6 in 10 innings. Flores went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Friars now own a record of 20-20.

The Friars got a clutch hit from right fielder Chris Neri. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Friars.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Neri said.
