Twins Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
The Twins faced a stiff challenge from Washington pitcher Toby Harrison, but persevered to claim a win at The ESPN Zone. The final score was 1-0. Harrison went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Ken Wellon earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 2-1. Macario Mendoza recorded the save, his 10th.

Alex Sierra, who finished 4th in the EC in home runs with 37 in 2083, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sierra contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Cincinnati up, 1-0.
