Dragons Absorb 3-2 Loss at Tundradome
The Alaska Kodiaks got a marvelous performance from pitcher B.J. Terriquez. The right-hander kept the Portland offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Alaska victory at Tundradome. The winning pitcher was Terriquez, now 4-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 9. Picking up his 14th save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Juneau Beauchamp.

Alaska left fielder Jose Fierro contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 159th hit of the season and put the Kodiaks ahead, 2-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Fierro said, "and we're having fun right now."

The Kodiaks have an impressive 88-50 record.
