Due in large part to left fielder Sean Oehlert, the San Francisco Friars sunk the Chicago Phantoms, 6-5. Oehlert was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. George Roscoe was the winner. He's now 17-6. The loser was 37-year old left-handed pitcher Vismay Falcon. Edwin Maes earned his 17th save, after closing out the game.

DeMario Custodio was 1 for 4 for San Francisco. The 23-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Aaron Narduzzi. It was his 47th RBI of the season.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Chicago manager Sam J. "The effort was great."

The Friars saw their record improve to 76-61.
