Rangers Beaten By Senators, 7-4
|
Washington and Buffalo duked it out and the Senators came out victorious.
The Washington Senators topped the Buffalo Rangers, 7-4, in Eastern Conference action at The ESPN Zone. The standout performance belonged to Washington pitcher and Tetela del Volcan, Mexico, native Pablo Alvarez. The Senators improved their record to 18-22 with the win over Buffalo.
Washington took a 7-3 lead on Eloy Laca's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Laca hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher Josh Trejo visibly frustrated.
"Pablo just settled in and did what he does," said Washington manager Ron Beckman.
