Browns Drop Arrows, 2-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Vince Tozier, Brooklyn beat Seattle by the score of 2-1. Tozier, now 3-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Adam Mimnaugh picked up the save, his 10th.
Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Leon Rose to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Browns on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Vince showed what he's made of," said Brooklyn manager Jason Cormier.
The third-place Arrows now sit at 21-19.
