Gaedels Deny Senators, 4-2

The St. Louis Gaedels defeated the Washington Senators, 4-2, in Eastern Conference action at Veeck Park. Geri Rengifo pulled his weight. The 15-year veteran slugged 2 home runs. The first-place Gaedels, at 79-57, lead the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division by 9 games.
With St. Louis leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Rengifo hit a fastball from Kai-xi Jia for a solo home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Gaedels ahead, 2-0.
Rengifo attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
